All of us knew how it feels when meeting friends in a wine club. Usually people gather together to drink wine. Various types of wine bottles are available in wine clubs. Some clubs provide rich set of wine bottles but they are costlier. People used to pay to wine club in a monthly or quarterly basis( four times a year). Even though the wine clubs are to be entertained for people to feel happy, excessive consumption of wines is injurious to health. Some times, these wine clubs provide special offers by serving both local and international wines. Most often, these wine clubs serve red wines, white wines and the combination of both. The price of the bottle vary with the type of the wine. Some wine clubs offer door step delivery like ordering a pizza. People have to call the wine club’s number and they will be delivered with the wine they deserve. Some wine clubs provide online purchasing of wines.By this the wine clubs made our wine life simpler by making some user friendly arrangements
Watch out for the Hangover
I went out the other evening on one of the days recommended on winetastingdays.co.uk and I must think again before doing that!
Being a guy I naturally tend to drink pints more than other drinks, whether it’s spirits or wine. And anyone who drinks quite a lot probably knows that after a while you get to know how much you can drink, what the effect will be, and how likely you are to have a hangover the next day. Now, when it comes to pints I’ve probably mastered this but I so haven’t when it comes to wine! The wine gave me a terrible headache the next day – at one point it was remarkably painful simply to move my head from side to side. Next time I’ll definitely be more careful, selecting my wines rather than being happy to try them all!
Having said that don’t be put off – wine tasting is good fun.
Cline Cellars of Carneros
Cline Cellars is one of a very short list of wineries based in the Carneros AVA, which is one of the coolest in the entire country. Fred Cline is the original owner and operator of the winery, having been blessed with a fortune from his family (Jacuzzi whirpools and spas) he purchased the old Firpo Winery in Oakley and moved it to Carneros. Cline now has at least five hundred acres of vines planted in the two locations and offers some of the best wine gift choices in all of California. Focused largely on California’s only truly native grape (Zinfandel) as well as Rhone varietals such as Syrah, Roussane and Viognier which are only now gaining momentum among consumers in the United States. Although his Zinfandel offerings typically gather the most attention and highest critical acclaim, we personally enjoy the Carneros Syrah more than anything else made by the winery, it’s one of the coolest weather versions of the wine made in California.
