I really struggle with making different things for my family for dinner. Most of the time the kids don’t even want to eat real food. They want to eat pizza, fast food, and microwave food. New Christmas Function Idea

I’m looking for an easy to make pancake recipe, will you be able to help me with finding one? It’s nearing Christmas time, and at the office this year we’re having something slightly different for our end of year function. Instead of doing the usual dinner and dance, get drunk and spend the company money function, we’re doing a sort of food and wine expo, in which we all cook something and then everyone gets to try it all out and have a big food party, basically. So, I’m doing pancakes and scones, a friend of mine who works in my department is responsible for Mexican food (he’s doing burritos and tortillas) and some of the other guys have a wine tasting thing going. It’s going to be a lot of fun, I think, and will really build team morale. It might be hard work, but it’s going to be worth it.

 

Making Some Spicy Salsa in My Blender

I decided last weekend to try to experiment a little bit with my new blender, I needed to try to make something that I’ve never made before.

What I ended up making was a spicy salsa, and I did all the chopping and mixing in a blender rather than doing it by hand which I have normally done in the past. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind doing a bunch of chopping by hand, salsa turns out pretty good that way, but I just wanted to try something new.

My New Blender

I had tried to make a salsa like this in an old blender of mine, but this time I was going to use my new blender. I had read a Vitamix professional blender review at one point that convinced me that I needed to probably get a new blender and get rid of the piece of junk that I had been using.

The result was that I got one of those blenders, it works great, this is the one I’m going to use to make this salsa.

The Spicy Part

I’m going to be using a recipe that includes fresh jalapeno peppers and some other stuff like cilantro, so the salsa should have a pretty good bite. I’m pretty excited to see how it all turns out.
